1.3 beta 4+ has been out for some time

he's not saying it is. he's saying he ran spybot/adaware and that's all that came up.

go to windwos/downloaded programs or something like that
and find the toolbar which is out of place there... and just remove it

i found the 404 link to be kinda sketchy... didn't know if you'd be willing to download the remove file. but i tried just fun and it's a 404 link as well.

have you tried to go back a few days on your XP restore?

Where can I download Spybot 1.4? All I have found is 1.3 Beta 4...

Anyways, I still have this damn thing!

I have deleted everything, including the google toolbar. Updated ad-aware to yesterdays new definitions and got the latest Spybot S&D. Both of those programs found NOTHING. I have deleted EVERYTHING that even says "google"... all DLL files, everything and it's still here... wtf!

Damn spyware! Who knows what information they are gathering ehehe. One time I would try to type and it would take forever for the text to show up... Guess some spyware was recording everything I typed.

Ok, I figured out how to get rid of it, now I just need to figure out how I got it... i've been using computers for quite a while, so spyware is not a common thing for me to get :)

I ended up downloading a program called HijackThis and it found this entry:

delete and problem solved :glugglug it's a pretty nice little program, get it while its still free

Don't know if it'll help, but its a useful little program nonetheless.
