What do you use to trace IP adresses..?

Black Ice shows an ip address for the bastard and I'd like to know where it is...

Back in the days I used net trace or something like that, but that was many moons ago and I have since forgotten the url for that..:(

I think it was free at the time...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...TIA..!:helpme

You can only trace it back to the ISP, then give them a call

As far as I have read, BlackIce seems useless.

My Norton firewall does it

you can always open up a cmd prompt in windows and use

tracert 123.456.789.123

ip2location.com

What if he used a proxy? An anonymous one that deletes log files every 10 mins?

The only thing you can do at that point is subpoena router logs....but the log has to be turned on.
