When I lived in Cali the whole family would get together on Friday afternoon and play Mahjong straight through until a couple hours before it was time to work on Monday morning, no sleep and hardly a break the entire weekend. I was the only white boy that knew how to play but I was still a little slow at it.

I learned about them a long time ago, back in Cali, in LA and Fresno, even though there were more in the Bay Area.
