Ethics...

Just got back from my ethics class and the professor told us something that I have no idea what it means. Didn't jot it down in my notes but it went a little something like this:

We live in a world that belongs, but also live in a world that becomes because they are joined by the bridge of reascending ideas.

WTF does that mean? :helpme
