It was a whole different world back then. It was the beginning of new technologies being developed. Black and White television being replaced by color TV's. Plastics took off. The Interstate transportation network was really kicking in. The visions for the future of where we are now were in the lab stage. Laser technology. Computers. Calculators.
I remember going to the world's fair thinking damn I wish I was born 40 years forward in time to see all this cool tech stuff become reality. It was the beginning of the end for strictness in terms of morality in all forms. Movies started to push the edge. TV started to push the edge. Fashion started to push the edge with all the hippie styles. Rock 'n Roll and modern music started. The 50's era was the end of the old fashioned way of doing things. The kids of the '60's wanted liberal everything. In some ways it was a better time, in other ways it wasn't. Politically it was the end of the discrimination period against blacks and women. Blacks makes tremendous strides forward politically. Women began working in the work force and wanted liberation and rights like men had. In many ways it was the beginning of the disintegration of the wholesome family period. Leave It To Beaver, Ozzie & Harriet type family life disappeared and kids started rebeling and doing drugs in a big way. I wish I was in my 20's right now. You guys have no idea how much better off you are in terms of oppotunities compared to back then. Its way easier to make a fortune now. |

Playboy Centerfold Connie Kreski was the first girl I saw nude in a magazine when I was 10 years old. I couldn't take my eyes off her. :Graucho :winkwink: Sadly she died in 1995 at the young age of 48 from cancer. |

I'm a real fan of the music of that age, although I'm not even 25. All the relatively disease free sex must have been cool. No worries about AIDS and other deadly diseases must have been nice.

I love Cheryl Sweeten... :Graucho
