***** General Tommy Franks Predicts Destruction of US Constitution!!! ******

He also thinks George Bush is a genius and refers to democracy as a mere "experiment".

Read what the movers and shakers in your military-industrial complex have in store FOR you pathetic sheep. And this is from an extreme right-wing news source, not some "liberal" rag:

GENERAL FRANKS PREDICTS THE REPEAL OF THE US CONSTITUTION

sumphatpimp 01-20-2004 09:08 PM

Gen. Tommy Franks says that if the United States is hit with a weapon of mass destruction that inflicts large casualties, the Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of government.
Franks, who successfully led the U.S. military operation to liberate Iraq, expressed his worries in an extensive interview he gave to the men?s lifestyle magazine Cigar Aficionado

yep the Cigar Aficionado, thats a well respected publication.

ever read the Dildo Aficionando?

thats another good one.
gets right to the "sticky"

Fool. The article appears in NewsMax. And NewsMax in turn is simply reporting the name of the magazine where Franks gave his interview. Who the hell cares what specific magazine Franks talked to. The point is: he said it. He believes it. And he is in a position to know what the contingency plans are.

Man....people like you really deserve what's coming down the pipeline.

The musing of General Franks is old news and the musing of an individual are of little import...but if a situation arises that is deemed to be serious enough there is no doubt in my mind that martial law would be declared...as it should be.

darksoft 01-20-2004 11:11 PM

This just in... wonton is a fucking imbecile... film at 11.

You should move to North Korea. You will be very comfortable with their political system.

Should anyone consider changing or suspending the constitution it's idiots like this that will make it easy.

The dumb redneck who thinks it cannot be changed is the biggest ally to people who want to restrict liberty.

What the article is saying is BE WARNED and what some hear is nothing.

So Bush has done nothing to restrict the constitution and liberty while he has been in office?

Well put.

And for our redneck friends like theking, you ain't seen nothing yet. The next five years of American politics and foreign policy will set the tone for life on this planet for the next 200 years. We are coming to the most important turning point in the history of the industrialized world. There is a secret in Washington that is being closely gaurded from the American public and from much of the world. The President knows it. The joint chiefs know it. The upper echelons of the NSA, CIA and Pentagon know it. A few other governments around the world know it. But they dare not tell the people, eventhough the secret is plainly there for anyone who cares to research.

The secret is simple: The Age of Oil is coming to a close and civilization itself is totally unprepared because its infrastructure is wholly designed for oil and nothing else. The final years of oil, now less than a decade away, will bring total chaos to society. North Korea is the model. Their oil supplies were choked out with the demise of the Soviet Union. Just look at the results. Millions are starving and the only way to control an angry, hungry population is through iron-fisted military rule.

General Tommy Franks knows the inside scoop. He knows what is coming and he knows what the plans are.

You can have your military dictatorship if you want it. But when it comes, don't say you weren't warned.

slavdogg 01-21-2004 02:37 AM

let me be the first one to say

WELCOME TO LAST YEAR

junction 01-21-2004 02:48 AM

Between Bush and Franks....tey dont have a brain cell between them....so for the firrst time ever I say....Go Fuck Yourself!

I have not requested...nor do I require your opinion about where I should live. I am an American and I am content with America's political system...thank you very much.

FYI...clueless...active duty military and National Guard are frequently used inside the United States to insure the safety and good order of the people...in times of emergency...and occasionally to enforce Federal Law...a micro form of martial law.

Yes, and it will be replaced by other forms of energy. One of the reasons for the second race to the moon and plans for Mars.

In support of claim:

Thus the reason for China to be in the race to the moon.

What would the loss of our civil liberties mean to this industry. Not good I suspect. The next presidential race could be the most importantone ever.

nonono, it's the end of the world.

too bad we can't drill in alaska :(

sperbonzo 01-21-2004 09:57 AM

so Wonton, I guess that with your fears of a military/goverment take over, you will finally come over too our side and join the NRA.

Welcome!:thumbsup

jchartrand55 01-21-2004 10:43 AM

I dont think its leading to a military takeover but I do believe that anyone who thinks oil is the best option is hardly aware of the long term situation. If someone were to take the longest view possible, arguing in favor of space colonization is easy as within approximately 2 million years our sun will begin expanding into a giant. Eventually the earth will be cooked clean and then destroyed - so - why not go now?

That view is a bit far-sighted for me but its the same idea as the oil situation is today, only a *much* smaller scale. There is plenty of oil left, yes. Alaska alone has enough to sustain 2 idustrialized nations for decades and we wont even get started with whats under the Russian tundra. However, it is going to run out. Period. There is no question of this, no guessing if its possible. It is the truth. So, why rely on something so limited? The truth is, the age of oil is drawning closer to an end, yes. Within this decade? Hell no.

There will be no military takeover within our lifespans.. At least, not one regarding oil. I do think there's an entirely separate issue of our eroding civil liberties right now that poses are FAR greater risk to our country. Everyone knows the old saying about the Holocaust; "They came for so-and-so and I we said nothing, etc etc" but for some ungodly reason no one feels a need to apply it here. Why?! You have less legal rights this year than last. You had less last year than the year before that. Go figure.

You think its impossible for some overzealous Fed to decide that trafficking porn is a form of Social Terrorism? Suddenly the Patriot Act applies. Now youre screwed. No lawyer, no rights, no trial. Done.

Go figure.

Doctor Dre 01-21-2004 10:49 AM

I just hope bush will be out of there when it happens . Cauz if hes not then the day the peace will be brough back the martial law will stay.

Do you know who Tommy Franks is? Are you saying that he didn't say that, that Cigar Aficionado made it up? I fail to see the relevance of what puplication he said it to, it's the statement and who it's comming from that's important. This news is very old, but any smart American should be very concerned.

When the National Guard were shooting students demonstrating against the Vietnam war, was that an emergency. Were all those big brave, armed soldies scared of students armed with placards?

It's guys like this who refuse to question, that will make the possiblity of losing your sacred Constitution easier.

He cannot even accept criticism, to him to "Criticise" his country makes you an enemy.

Critism and debate is good if you are in the right and confident. It's only weak dictatorships and the scared who stop it.
