why do politicians have to BS us

Really why do they have to feed us so much fucking BS... it's not just American politicians either.. they are all the same no matter if they are dictators or not... They just feed you all this hype on how good everything is, how bad someone else is, how they are going to do this and that...

too bad it's illegal to shoot politicians...

They want your vote once they get your vote its over you wont see anything done.

because power is achieved by manipulation, and they will tell you everything you need to hear until they get what they want.

kinda sounds like women and marriage

Its the nature of the beast. Nothing ever changes. We could go back in time and listen to Abe Lincoln and it was probably the same bullshit back then like now.

Politicians are salesmen. Most aren't even very bright individuals as we've come to see. A lot are just front pitch men representing the interests of the very wealthy and powerful sectors of our society.

People forget and fast. If you go out on the streets tomorrow and ask 100 people to list all the major highlights of what Bush promised and stated tonight, I doubt you'd find even one person who could give you a full summary of his speech. Most people probably couldn't name more than one or two things he talked about.

People like to be sold bullshit. This is hard to believe but I've come to the conclusion its just how we are. We want to perpetually believe well maybe this guy will be different, maybe he'll be an honest one. Inevitably we're allways let down and disillusioned and then resold all over again on the next turkey put in the pipeline to razzle dazzle us with how they're going to fix things.

One of the best quotes on this has to be Richard Nixon's line when he became President:

"I hope to bring dignity, honor, and integrity to the White House."

There's always people out there that believe them and support them.

No thanks!:321GFY

Just once I wish someone would get up there and say

" I'm not going to do anything I promise except take a lot of vacations... Thanks for the votes"

:thumbsup

And there you have it in 200 words or less. Things simply don't go down they way it's told in history class or civics class.....let alone the way it's told in the state of the union infomercial.
