Photoshop Resolution for Websites?
What is a good resolution for images that you slice into whole webpages in photoshop, for the norm (1024x768) its a odd # i just dont remember, i want it not taking the whole screen up, i want blank space around it in a higher resolutions.

I would say 800x600 for any website design, of course over 600 in length is good, but I try to stay at 800 for the width! But I'm not a designer, although any designer I have the specs for the width never to be over 750 so that it looks perfect on a 800 width screen!

ok if your paying

755px in the width is the maximum to fit into a 800x600 resolution.
|
I usually design at 750 wide and around 500 high for single pages if you don't want scrolling.
|
I use 777 for the width.. the scrollbar and window borders account for about 24 pixels.
|
how many boxes you seen in the stores at 800x600 ?
800x600 went out a long time ago, but the fucktoids keep building for it like it is the norm. :321GFY |

800 x 600 - always accomodate everyone's screen resolution. Even old people look at porn! :winkwink:

Webmasters boards are first made to help each other... Why wouldn't he ask this question ? There are fare more un-interesting out of topic threads on this board for you to bitch about. I hate this "I-know-everything-and-i-am-the-king-of-porn" state of mind. You must be twelve years old to think like that huh ? |

I design for 780 width (800x600) or sometimes 750 - depending on the layout and the table construction.
800x600 is still the "norm" resolution. Will take at least another couple of years for 1024x768 to become the norm, but there will always be 800x600 surfers. |
I design for 800x600 myself with a max table of width 720 to 760 depending on the layout.
800x600 is still the norm but it still looks fine at higher resolutions. Oz |
