I've been on a roll hooking up new accounts lately and getting old accounts that have stopped sending to start sending again.

second thing : Sure your promo gives everyone the push to send all the sign ups they can ... but now you see people who can send 100 sign ups a day and they are like " shit free 1k for me " they start sending you all there traffic and then you have the people who are trying there hardest to send traffic and they see that they really have no chanc e

I dunno .. just thinking that there are so many contest ran but none for the people who are still trying to learn ... I kow when I first started i wanted to give up so many times when I saw that it looked like I had no chance when you see all these other people

I am concerned that you might not understand what the term "give" means in the standard English lexicon.

Chris - Read closer. This isn't Lightspeed giving the money away, it's ME. I'm not going to give $1000 to someone who sends one hit or one signup. They get paid 60% revshare, they earned the money they made. I want to entice people that are going to give Lightspeed a try with some decent traffic and know that they can actually make good money. It isn't a contest, it's a bonus for a job well done. I get a commission based on how well the company does as well as a nice salary so don't worry for me :winkwink:

So many people want something for nothing. Our affiliates can attest that we went WAY above the call of duty in rewarding people for sending traffic last year. How many other companies did you see putting 50+ webmasters up in stunt flights, flying webmasters to cities to party, giving 10% bonus months, $1,000 bonuses to the top senders to each of their sites, letting you swim with the dolphins, handing out dozens of $100+ jerseys, paying for huge open parties, paying out on 100% bonus months, etc, etc, etc... Many of our promotions were aimed at the little guy as well as the big guy.

This is different. I'm fishing and I want to land a whale. I'm using $1000 as bait. If they bite and send traffic they will get two rewards.
1) They find out how fucking awesome our conversion ratios and retention is and what a good idea it is to send their traffic to us.
2) They might get a bonus of $1000 on top of the money they already made with us (which is better than a kick in the ass!)

$1000 is really small change to the people I am after, but it gets more attention than me saying "Who wants me to give them $10?".

Nothing says I have to give extra compensation to people who promote Lightspeedcash. I CHOOSE to GIVE them the money as a bonus.

I don't want to jack this thread - but there are companies (such as MensNiche) that run 5 sale and 10 sale promotions to help give you the incentive to get started.

The promo that Lightspeed are offering here has qualifying rules, so those people that are regularly getting signups with their company won't qualify to be in the competition anyway.

I was just pointing out that there *are* companies that are doing promos to help out the starters that don't require being the 100+ sales guys. The guy sounded like he felt he was hard done by - I wanted to offer him some hope.

Yeah you guys throw alot of party s... but for your webmasters who can afford to fly there selfs out there to the party .... YOu guys are a great company not putting ya down at all just saying ... LIl guys are over looked so much. I recently ran a contest on netpond for a company as a promo and it was meant for EVERYONE .. all they had to do was be an affilate and send atleast 1 hit a day... Contest went over pretty well and everyone ended up happy :)

Ben - If small webmasters are having to rely on promotions to make enough money to have hope then they need to seriously reevaluate being in this business.

This site sells well enough that if a small time guy is looking to make money they can send to it and make more than they will with most sites. Sending to LightspeedGirls.com will give them hope when they see how much they are making.

The money we payout on that promotion is more than most prizes given away by other companies. Nobody gets left out and no feelings get hurt.
