Nope.

Everytime someone invents a workable replacement for gasoline, the major oil companies go in, buy the patent, and bury it on the shelf.

dont the makers understand that if they didnt sell out to the oil companies and pushed there business they would make so much more money in the end

the fuel cell will come first which will recreate the fuel from what has burnt splitting it back into molicules and reforming adding oxygen so they can be reburnt.

electric/hydrogen cars will eventually take over. it's taking much, much longer (for the reason krl mentioned), but it's finally happening. rumors are that the next acura nsx will be the first high end hybrid sports car.

You can't be serious. Oil companies have the power to take out entire countries and governments when they don't heed the leash. Do you think George Bush all of a sudden just decides out of the blue to put Iraq on the menu?

They are notorious at burying patents that could make us less dependent on their expensive product.
