I watched Ringu (Japanese version of The Ring) and now I can't sleep
 

Yah, I know, I'm a wuss. Wierd shit gives me nightmares/night terrors.

It's a lot better than the american onel. Ring 2 came out in japan too but i still haven't watched it.

Aren't the novels a trilogy?


I didn't really think it was better...definitely different...except for the beginning which was exactly the same. They got into ESP and some other weird stuff.

I have 3 cats and a Pookie that COULD protect me...but they are all downstairs with Laura sleeping on the couch. She rarely sleeps in our bed because it hurts her back. Sigh. Some one come cuddle me.

Both those movies FREAKED MY ASS OUT. scary movies don't usually get to me, but for some reason that story and the visuals really get me.

The Japanese version was far more frightening than the US one.

I haven't seen the Japanese version...but, the American version scared the shit out of me!!! I usually don't have nightmares but, I did with that movie!

I was surprised that the original Japanese version is almost identical to the American version. If you've seen one you've seen both.

I watched the American version. Granted it was a good movie, I hardly felt it was scary. Is the Japanese version a little scarier or at least different? If not it'd probably be a total waste of time since I basically waited in suspense for nothing to happen.

the actress that crawled out of the TV in the Japanese version had kabuki (sp) training, so her herky jerky walk of doom was even more unnerving than the US version
