There was a big issue last year when a debate ensued over Kerry's ethnicity. He had claimed he was Irish and Scottish. It turns out his family had changed their name early in the century.

I have nothing against Jews, but middle America won't elect a Jew as president. JFK was the only non-prostestant president in our history. The reason he won was his father's multiple hundreds of millions.

He is a strange looking man. This is America. The Presidency in our country, much like High School, is one big popularity contest. His female vote will be hurt by that big Mac The Knife face of his.

I'm not a Dem but he's a good speaker, and conveys a strong message.

However, I don't think he'll ever completely overcome the "Frankenstein" factor.

He's married to Teresa Heinz, widow of Senator John Heinz, heir to the Heinz Ketchup fortune.

Actually, I stand corrected. Two of his four grandparents are Jewish, the other two Catholic. He won't win.

Sounds good in print doesn't it... even though it's a stretch. That guy has too many things going against him although we know he will get some votes in the tri-state as long as he isn't afraid to let people know he has some Jewish blood.

It's just begun, regardless of who you support, there are still 49 states to go. Lets not forget Clinton, who didn't win Iowa or New Hampshire and went on to get the nomination and then beat Bush Sr.

In fact, no one since Carter has won Iowa and become president.

You can know what your doing but america is the leader of the free world and you just cant have a man that looks like kerry as president. Canada had Cretien and look what kinda mess he made our country look like, he was an embarrasment because no one could understand the way he talked. America will always have, and should have a charming president.

I seriously doubt Kerry will win the nomination. In my mind Howard Dean is still the front runner for the Democrats, but watch out for John Edwards. Only 50 and looks younger, from the South like Clinton and can rally people together with a strong message for the betterment of the country. He's more into what he can do as President rather than the negative campaigning of what the other guys can't do.
IMO he could be like Clinton in '92.:winkwink:
