Just started watching the first season of 24. I have a question about the election
 

What is a presidential primary election ? According to the show, the real election will take place in 6 months.. Is it a party only election?

I sat down and watched Season 1 & 2 over a 3 days weekend. My brain melted.
Watched the first 2 episodes of season 3 and then missed the 3rd episode. Now I need to wait for Season 3 on DVD.

I lost all respect for that show when Keifer dropped the Bush-bomb and said 'nuculur' in a preview for an episode. The whole show is about him finding a nucLEAR weapon and he fucks it up. Weak.
