What does it mean when google...
Indexes your page but not the title or the content? Like I have one domain and it's spidered and indexed 15 pages but when you search for site:blahblah it just displays the URLs of the pages.
|
confusing... can you show me what you mean?
|
Well like 2 weeks ago I decided to see if I could get a site on a free host indexed without linking to my googlenet at all. So I picked kitchen design.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...=Google+Search Also the dance tool is showing different results. May have somethign to do with it. I guess it could mean that it's going to spider them soon? |
that is pretty weird, never seen that before

Might be that Googlebot visisted your site and it was down, so it just display it as a "empty site".
Happpend to some of our sites when one our server was down. |

In any case maybe wiredguy will know the whole story. |
From my experience, I've seen this type of results when your site was previously indexed on google and then your site was down. Rather than deleting you completely from the index, Google is assuming your site is down and because of that it has no information to index you by, so just the url. You'll notice that your site is no longer in the cache (ie: http://216.239.39.104/search?sourcei...hen-stores.htm) which would be the case if your site is down.
Hope this helps. WG |

I'm just curious.. what is the purpose of this page, and all the other pages that are almost identical? Not flaming, I just don't get it.... |

Actually nevermind. He's just cross linking pages, then adding a link to google then his main index on the bottom filled with rich keywords. Does that work? I thought cross linking doesn't really benefit you that much.

It was just a test to see if I could keyword spam and get any decent serps without spending any money or using my current sites to feed PR. Of course if this was a serious project they'd be cloaking to a sponsor.

It can be hit and miss. Sometimes I do that, find out what kinds of valuable keywords I can "hit" and develop them to make money off the traffic. |

I think google is doing that on purpose when it finds spammy type pages on the same domain.
I had the same type recently displayed fine until i cross linked it to 10 of the same type of keyword pages , and it stopped showing the title etc. ( thus lowering my se listing , but strangely enough , not by much ) |
