hey guys, ok here ya go:)

What are your thoughts on the software below for doing video work?

windows movie maker
adobe premier pro
pinnacle
vegas(sony)

Adobe Premiere - get it , learn it. Stay away from movie maker - don't waste your time with it. I also use Vegas sometimes - it's pretty decent. But premiere pro is top notch for PC.

I use pinnacle, never used Adobe or Vegas yet but I heard they are good as well. Tryed the new version of windows movie maker a little bit. Didn't impress me much.

Pinnacle is a solid easy to use straight forward program.:2 cents:

The learnign curve on premier is tough but if can Learn to use it anyone can * Beware* it is a resource HOG.
Never used Vegas but i heard many good things about it, and Pinnacle is great if your downloading movies from minidv, easy to use and is very stable.

Premiere pro isnt bad, its actually eaiser to learn than others like Vegas, Avid etc. Adobe did a complete re-write for Premiere Pro so its alot better than previous versions.

but then again it all depends on what you want to do.
