Adult Video companies vs Internet... why the hate?

i dont understand.. so i hope someone fills me in.

to make a long story short.. why do the big adult video comapnies at the avn show show such a cold attitude towards the internet..

they have some excellent content IMO and with just the right person, a mix of that ending up on the internet would be great for biz.. yet there seems to be hate from them.

i doubt its just me pissing ppl off.. so what could it be?

I'd like to think that I've got my finger on the pulse of the Adult porn community (at least a little)----I have NEVER heard a negative comment from any of the companies or individuals about the Adult Internet Industry. On the contrary, I've heard lots and lots of favorable comments.

I'm at a loss to comprehend your feeling/comment. Perhaps you had a one-time unfortunate situation with someone--hopefully, it's your last one.

Maybe adultbouncer has left a bad taste in their mouths? Also i would agree with Dave there are lots of studios that license their movies for internet use.

the insane amount of content theft by webmasters - why would you think highly of a group of people who either steal or look away while others of their flock steal your shit? Yes AdultBouncer is at the top of the list.

the movie studios don't have the know-how and resources to battle on two fronts - they had their core businesses of making movies and distribution to worry about while the adult Internet biz developed. Why do you think VIVID, HUSTLER,VCA,EdPowers handed off their web stuff to CashQuest?

but the worm is turning, movie content which they own and are experts at producing is where the Net is now. There are now 25 VOD and PPV sites on the Net - they are beginning to see nice revenue from them.

Think for a second....do you really think they would still be in business if they were using unlicensed content?

Before using their free content to build your sites did you see their license agreements for the content your using on your sites?

Also i know they have used content WITHOUT a license then when caught some how talked the studio into giving them a license. I also know there was a post here from a studio regarding their content theft.

As for your how long can they last question... as long as the courts keep letting them delay like they do acacia i guess.

And that's about it. There where so many "great" Webmasters, promissed them so much money and nothing happens. The are just pissed, because of the bizz youngster just hunting for cheap content and this has cost these companies a lot of money

Thats why all the magasine are happy to bankrupt !

Mr.Fiction 01-19-2004 02:29 AM

Maybe it's because they had a nice private industry where everyone knew most everyone, and the internet broke it wide open?

Not everyone likes change, especially when it threatens their bottom line.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 01-19-2004 03:43 AM

Simple...

Net Adult industry has no respect for the ground the video companies pioneered, not to mention the fact that many video companies were targeted by Internet companies and raped for content.

Print is dying, but gonzo is thriving. Viewers are mainly interested in "whackability", somethings both videos and the Internet provide. There's room for both the porn makers and the Internet sites---in fact, I see a LOT of cooperation and getting along!
