Ferarri 612 - QuickBuck Giveaway

Trying to decided whether I should buy one and make it the ultimate webmaster giveaway?

http://www.ferrari.com/cgi-bin/fworl...ietti_home.jsp

What do you think?

hershie 01-18-2004 10:47 AM

Duh, have another poem contest.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 01-18-2004 10:49 AM

Everyone does a Ferrari how about something a little more sophisticated like a Mercedes SLK?

MattO 01-18-2004 10:49 AM

Give it away!!

A PI I used to work for had a 4 seater Ferarri with the right side steering wheel we'd fly around Manhattan in, they don't do the 4 seaters very often.

icedemon 01-18-2004 10:49 AM

It's a 4 seater. Give it away.

Fu-Q 01-18-2004 10:49 AM

eh.... its a ferrari but that seems be all it has going for it. IMO its kinda ugly :2 cents:

Oracle Porn 01-18-2004 10:50 AM

Manowar 01-18-2004 11:45 AM

the 360 modena f1 edition is nicer :2 cents:

B40 01-18-2004 11:47 AM

Buy it and give it to me :winkwink:

Ramster 01-18-2004 11:59 AM

Oh ya, give it away. Nice ride!

Hey, did you draw for the SuperBowl tickets?

Digipimp 01-18-2004 12:03 PM

I think most giveaways are retarded, since most sponsors never do them in a way that nearly any webmaster can win, they are always tilted to where only a top select few have a real chance at winning.

Now to create real excitement think of a lottery style contest of some sort that even a small time webmaster who sent you 10 sales could win realistically and then you have something that everyone will want in and will benefit your program as well.

:thumbsup

Lonny 01-18-2004 12:05 PM

I've liked Ferraris since i've seen the tail that brad picks up with his:winkwink:

Doctor Dre 01-18-2004 12:23 PM

Actually not over rated but over exposed .I never drove a ferrari so I cant tell but they are way over exposed for my taste . I dont like having something to flash I rather have something original

KRL 01-18-2004 12:24 PM

If a newbie wins they'll have to sell it to pay the income taxes on it most likely.

Better to give them cars they can afford to win and keep like an SUV or an entry level BMW or Benz.

Have any pics?

Carlito 01-18-2004 12:31 PM

I think its a good car for the average person that wants something new, different, and functional.

Most people have no use for a powerful ferrari, and the people here that are complaining about the logic benefits of this car, need a family car or something.

Whats the list price? I`d consider buying this for a daily driver.

:thumbsup

rebel23 01-18-2004 12:34 PM

I think you should buy an Enzo Ferrari and give it away !

BlueDesignStudios 01-18-2004 12:59 PM

Since ppl here don't seem to want it, you can always send it my way.....

AdultNex 01-18-2004 01:01 PM

What's with all these people complaining... It's a friggin Ferarri.

It'll turn heads whereever you go, good god.

ModelPerfect 01-18-2004 01:12 PM

that was my thought. i could get a baby seat in the back :)

i saw a list price in euros, i think it converted to $180k USD.

The superbowl tickets were won by an overseas webmaster who opted for cash, wiseman made the announcement a few days ago, kind of a buzzkill imho.

Peaches 01-18-2004 02:26 PM

I need a 4X4 SUV. :(

So how does that motivate people to send the most signups (or whatever they're selling)? It movtivates people to signup for the contest, but not to send visitors and sales. If you have a idea where a newbie could win, but they are trying their hardest to send sales, then you have something. I would even make a contest for that.

Bulldog-Johnnie 01-18-2004 02:43 PM

If I could afford any car I wanted that 612 or the 575m would by my two first choices...

Jarmusch 01-18-2004 02:44 PM

That's an ugly Ferrari. :(

eadweb 01-18-2004 03:03 PM

Yup, it's ugly. The car it's replacing was much nicer looking.

Alex Xe 01-18-2004 03:17 PM

I don't like this model...F50 better of course :)

Theo 01-18-2004 03:20 PM

euro-trash car

THe problem with that is simple economics.
A Small time Webmaster would not be able to handle the car's finances.

He will be taxed to death and end up having to get rid of the car and he would never be able to take care of it properly.
Looking forward to spending 1500.00 just for a maintenance check? How about 3000.00 for a tune up?
What about the insurance think someone that makes 40-60K a year is willing to pay for the insurance?
