It's too simple of a solution. Why not leave them there for a couple of decades and then bring them back home after a few thousands have died for nothing? That's how governments usually operate.

I thought Iraq has been took over by another murderous leader :)

At least, unlike now with the governing council, Iraqi women actually had some rights and didn't have to obey the Sharia law .

That's probably gonna happen whether we leave now or in two years.

beemk 01-17-2004 11:32 PM

good thing it wasnt americans who died.

jimboc 01-17-2004 11:33 PM

I hate it when people can't have the courage and conviction to follow something through to the end. Things have changed a lot, progress has been made, why ruin everything now by showing the world we are pussies who leave without the job done.

Where do you live? Bizarro world? The country is under occupation.

We should stop begging the UN for help if we don't wanna look like cowards.

This is just one of the reasons we're experiencing some of these issue to begin with...pulling out of Somalia made a lot of people think we wouldn't see something like this through.

jimboc 01-17-2004 11:42 PM

:1orglaugh I can't be bothered replying to you anymore Roger, all i can say is thank god our governments don't think like you. Showing weakness now would send a message to many groups and countries. With the US Dept the way it is your country couldn't survive another terrorist attack like sept 11th, your economy would crash and the country would fall apart at the seams..

4 million people in 5 years have been slaughtered in Congo. They're begging for our help. That's the issue.

Fine! If the administration wants to see it through, let them send their own sons and daughters over there, or, better yet, let them go over there themselves to 'get the job done'. Our boys should be home fucking their girlfriends instead of waiting for the next car bomb to strike.

Yes it will and the US at present actually have no choice but to stay in Iraq and if I was president I wouldn't have a choice either but what's for sure is that I wouldn't have invaded Iraq.
With soldiers dying everyday and stupid US officials asking for help from the so called "useless" UN, that's showing weakness.

You can't expect that from a president who was too much of a coward to fight the vietnam war.

jimboc 01-17-2004 11:48 PM

More than 2.....

acctman 01-17-2004 11:50 PM

we're american we usually don't finish things we start. we're a lazy country. hence the fact why all my coders are non-americans

Once again bush and them predicted something like this was going happen, just like the saudia blast and the turkey one:glugglug

It's just another example of people changing their minds based on the last news story they watched, rather than looking at the larger picture.

Thats not at all what he said. Just because someone changes there mind doesnt mean they arent looking at the big picture.

EXAMPLE.

Its a nice day with a light breeze and you plan on sailing across a large lake that takes 3 hours to cross.

Once you are about one hour across, you suddenly realise there is a big storm coming. You can either go 2 more hours and hope it doesnt pick up or you can sail back to shore and wait a few hours for the wind to die down.

At some point the captain must gauge what is best for his ship ( replace captain with bush and ship with america )

Try replacing Bush with a Captain - he's bound to be able to think better than the Texas Trash :)

Don't worry... he will be distancing himself from Bagdad shortly!

As I said, 20 years. It's not like there's much choice even for the other presidents who're opposed to the war.

Besides, for now Bush needs Iraq to launch even more wars and he'll do whatever God tells him to.
