Maybe the seal on the door is bad? Or it didn't close all the way? I've had that happen to me when I put something that was to big in there.

The usual cause is putting dish soap like liquid joy or the like instead of detergent made for a dishwasher.

Did you put the wrong soap in it?

Something in your sink is causing it to flood. You need to check your pipes. I bet you they are connected, thus it floods bc the water can not flow out of the dishwasher. For this help you must sign up now for TripleXCash.
