SE traffic -> Sponsor or Review Site?

What will make me more cash in the long run?

Manowar 01-17-2004 01:08 PM

i would probably say review site

AdultNex 01-17-2004 01:09 PM

Fake reviews work well.

Review sites will likely get bookmarkers if you provider a quality site. Sending to sponsors is going after the impulsive buy. Up to you to decide.

if you spam (hard spam), send it directly to different sponsors ... if not, you can send it to fake review site ...

or

if you have targeted traffic, send it directly to sponsor, if it's a bit mixed, use some fake review page

WiredGuy: only a few bookmarkers these days and only if you have tons of sample pics ... it's waste of time and $$$ IMHO trying to make a honest review site ... those days are over ... :2 cents:

Hence why I send direct to sponsor :)

Very hard to answer. If the traffic is quite general, a review site has a higher probability of a sale at some point in time. If it's very specific, a focused site can be better. Either way, too many sites presented overloads the relatively simpleton surfer and sales decrease. Think of it if you own a single site, you will put all your focus and energy to build that up because it's the best, etc... Review sites are also good in the case where you want to sell different products that do not overlap but are nevertheless erotic and so you can imagine a single surfer may want to purchase both products at some point in time.

i send it straight to a sponsor since im too lazy to create a review site

Make your own tour, link to sponsor's join page

i've made shitloads of signups doing that from SE traffic

Sometimes you get traffic that doesn't fit the niche-profile of the domain. For example; one of our domains was targetted towards different phrases with the word blowjob in it, and hence we redirected to a blowjob site.

Suddenly we got LOTS of Britney Spears traffic to that domain, simply because one of our pages targetted "Britney Spears blowjob"... Ofcourse it converted like crap because it redirected to generic blowjob sponsors.

That's one of the big benefits by having a review site as landing page, they can navigate to ANY niche they want. You don't have to do much maintenance of old domains.

Interesting topic :) ( but not as popular as "Oracle Porn is drunkkkkk" ) :Graucho
I've always read that to make the most of PPC SE's listings, insted of linking directly to sponsors, you should create custom pages, with a few options for the surfer.
If this applies to PPC SE's, then i wonder why not to regular SE listings.
I've also heard that with unexperienced surfers ( and those coming from SE's are less experienced than TGP surfers )
no content sites ( "fake" or real review sites, or simpe hubs ) do great. I thought that some of them may bookmark it, since they don't know yet where to find the free porn.
