Doubt if they knew it, but strange one week they tell us they are going to hold our money an extra week. Then they tell us they are out of the CC business.

I am going to spend the weekend thinking mainstream.
I have used Globill, used Probilling, use Ibill, CCbill, and even Verotel.
EGGS IN A BASKET?
Next to go is Verotel.

Whats so strange about this? Its the way this company has always behaved. Probilling has always operated like a bunch of clowns. They always hid like babies when asked the hard questions about VISA avoidance, etc. Probilling was doomed for the long-term. Now some people are lumping the big boys in with them, like CCBill, IBill, Epoch........this is a mistake.

My opinion? Verotel will be the next to bite it.

everyone here seems to say that. but they have a whole different playing field than their american counterparts. they still have a 2% cb ratio. visa europe doesnt seem to hate them as much as visa hates ours. so i dunno. i think it will be interesting to see what happens.

Bansheelinks 01-17-2004 12:04 PM

Anyway you look at it bro, they are hiding from those VISA fees.........everyone that also did so has ended tits up regarding this.

I don't see any difference.

lol. sorry you haven't done your research. verotel was always located in europe under euro visa. why would they pay fees that were never asked of them?

Pamphage, everyone knows this. The fact is, they are taking American webmasters under this European umbrella, and the American webmasters, and some Canadian and from other countries, are avoiding the mandated VISA regulations about only processing for companies from said regions. So come on, everyone knows VISA has gone to a regional approach regarding processing, and Verotel has been skirting this, like Probilling did and Globilling did. & its caught up to the others, and I propose soon will too, to 2000charge and Verotel. Its all unfortunate but those are the facts.

i personally don't really care, i'm just spouting conjecture along with you and others. for some reason i dont think verotel is going to be next tho. (and im not counting 2000charge. they are a joke).

here's is where my feeling stems from...the heat coming down on the europe companies is coming down a LOT slower than here. i just feel like another biggish american company will be next. like i said. it's all shit talk from any of us at this point.

I would never include Ibill in with the likes of Epoch and CCbill, Epoch warned us many many months ago about using Globill and similar processors, we listened and paid the $750 to each processor that we use . We didn't like it but we did it to avoid loosing revenue and recurring transactions when something like Pro billings latest fiasco happens. In my opinion Epoch and CCbill are both class acts They have always treated us with respect and their customer service is both swift and knowledgeable. Ibill on the other hand is far from professional and as most of you guys know it has the worst CS of any company on the web. I will predict that Ibill will be the next big bang in online processing, why ? that's simple. People need customer service and Ibill dose not provide it. It dose not listen to its webmasters and with their stupid refund policy which allows anyone who asks to get a refund, webmasters will realize that Both Epoch and CCbill provide a better option.
We noticed a few weeks ago that Ibill's refunds are running at the equivalent of 500% more than both Epoch and CCbill. Why ? ask you rep and see how long it takes to get an answer !!!

Bansheelinks 01-17-2004 01:30 PM

Cindyff, I have to agree with many of your observations. IBill indeed does have a long ways to go to be as good as those others mentioned. At the least, they mandated the VISA fees etc unlike the Probilling shills who were only in this for the short term, knowing their way of avoiding the VISA fees meant they would be tits up soon enough.

But you are dead on regarding how the Big Boys stack up against each other. IBill clearly comes in last in that group.

A. It is not GFY's moral responsibility to check daily and see if their advertisers are shutting down. Probilling paid for a month's spot, they got a month's spot.

B. In their email they claim that webmasters will still be paid all the money that they are due. Now whether that is true or not remains to be seen, but since they are not closing down completely there's a pretty good chance it's true. Don't bitch until they hold your funds.

I don't think its true. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you have webmasters screaming about Probilling within a month about not getting what is owed them.

Assuming anything else would be naivete.

We'll see. I am not blaming GFY, just asked why with all the negetive publicity in threads prior, they were still able to buy the space.
