Why do pages inside password protected areas have a PR?

Why do pages inside password protected areas have a Google PR? It doesn't make sense, supposing google spiders can't access those pages ... And sometimes it's a high pr.

They dont have to access the page the high PR is on, they see many links to it and they count like that.

True, PR has nothing to do with a page being indexed. If you point a few links to a non-existant page on your server you will get a 404 with a PR

google does guess PR based on indexed files

in addition to the reasons above, it may be that your google toolbar is estimating the PR of the page, when in fact google knows nothing about your members area.

I have a PR 5 members home :)

Weird anyway, for example I log in my account, say with topbucks, and I get to the page inside where you set the period for which you want to see your stats - and it shows a pr7 ... :Hollering
The same for other pages where you can get only with a username and a password ...
