All I did was check the proof they gave themselves - a prolly adjusted alexa ranking graph ..

and looked it up in Alexa

Those guys are definitely not an SEO expert, they give the real ones a bad name :)

Unfortunately there are so many newbies putting a website up that they think its fantastic just to even have google index their site.
They are easy prey for someone even knowing a little bit about SEO.

Who would I do business with if I was in the commercial world ?

Type "search engine optimization" into Google and pick anyway in the top 10 who has been there for a couple of months.
