What would you do with half a million and a partner?
 

With regards to setting up a company in this business. One of the guys is an experienced webmaster and programmer, the other is a networking expert.

Need some ideas.

Maybe you should give it a slow start (e.g. start as a free site, grow to a part-AVS site, then eventually turn it into a paysite). That gives you the possibility to grow steadily while investing in content, financing your growth with the site's profit.
It also has the benefit of building up a community (very important if it is the idea you told me about) without any real advertising costs.

The partner provides at least half the starting capital.

Problem is, I need the script to do it, which requires a dedicated server.

*sigh*

that would be a ncie team -up... plus if you have that money

exactly what I was going to suggest - but Im sure you can work out a solution for script and server troubles you mentioned.

I'd set up a company in cyprus for starters.

Then I'd work on some niche exclusive content sites (one at a time).

Then start buying traffic to tweak conversions.

I'd wash rinse and repeat.

Find a chick who's willing to do anything on camera and start up a sexy amateur site with tons of video content for download.

Depends if he is putting it in his name and your working for him or....
