it may be time to boycott the SUPERBOWL
if CBS follows thru with their threat to not allow moveon's ad to air

CBS is owned by Jews - like so many other American media outlets. No objectivity there.
|
the thing liberals cant understand is that nbc cbs abc are overwhelmingly liberal, but they pretty much softball everything because most of the viewers are middle america which is predominantly moderate to a slight right lean, and do not want to piss off the advertisors by alienating their viewers.
ps. everything in that stupid video was the same shit they said about Reagan. |
sad but true.. bush doesn't know a damn thing he is doing.. it's more of a personal thing then what's best for usa.. usa is fucked.. there's probably so many people that have usa targeted now.. didn't we catch osomba bin laden? i herd about it once for about 2 seconds.. then nothing more about it ever.. i thought he was one of the main reasons for war and shit.. then when he is caught they do a little speach "we caught osomba bin laden" that's it.

By the way, while you are lecturing people on spelling and grammar, it's "run" not "ran" in your third sentence. |
I wonder how it would be if the US gov't sent a limo to bring a guy like Gin to Washington and be instant president. Kick Bush out and just shove "the average guy with no credentials" in there, the guy that thinks he knows better than the real leaders of the country.
Yeah, I wonder how that'd go down. |
They can't just run an ad slamming Bush. Due to campaign and media laws, they'd also have to run an ad from the opposite point of view - EQUAL TIME.
Running this ad would require that they also run a 30-second conservative ad. That's one full minute of campaigning, mud-slinging, and completely moving the focus off of the "cool commercials" and onto "did you hear what the XXX side said about the XXX side in those campaign spots??" Think about it. How many people tune in each year JUST to see the super-cool ads that are run during the Bowl? A hell of a lot, who don't even like football. Those commercials are THE talk of every water cooler in the nation for the next two weeks. Entire websites are made up about them. Awards are given for the best one. Slip one political ad in there and you completely blow the whole thing and lose the effectiveness of your advertisers' dollars. I wouldn't do it, either - regardless of which side of the political debate I was on. Let them find another show to sling their mud on, I've got eyeballs to get to advertisers who want their products talked about for the next two weeks. |

What do you call a 5th grade drop-out criticizing Bill Gates how to run Microsoft? Their opinion exists but is it relevant? I think not. |

I already knew the US will be paying down that debt for the next 50 years, didn't need a commercial to tell me.
I will be watching the superbowl no matter how loudly a handful of jilted liberals cry during their "boycott". :1orglaugh |

You think that advertising has to be equal? You may be thinking of the old (80's) rules about editorial, not advertising. If what you wrote was true (which it is not), then there would be no reason for either side to raise money because every paid ad by one side would get a free ad by the other side. That is simply not the way it works. Fox News would not be allowed to run 24/7 conservative talk shows if there was anything about "equal time" left in the media. |

Do you even live in the US? |
