How many Languages do you speak?
 

Besides English i have studied four but I can only speak two with some level of proficiency. And one i almost forgotten

4 ... Including Pig Latin.

3 languages ... 2 perfectly.. (french , english)

I speak english only although I can understand some Russian and Polish

A few years ago I filled out the online app. at cia.gov for a clandestine services (operations officer) job just because it was easy and it was right there. Well I actually got a call back saying I made it passed the preliminary screening process and that someone would be in contact with reference the rest of the application processes. I ended up not making the next cut but the guy told me if I learn to speak any middle eastern language fluently he would have me starting training lol..

i barely speak one, im sure some people who learned english in their 30s as their 6th laungage have better grammar than me :P

English is my main language. I learned french from kindergarten to grade 9, but have since forgotten most of it. I can probably only carry on a conversation with a kid in french now.

That's wild man! Hey i would it's fuck all to learn a language! 2hours a day of practice and in 1 year you got a really good handle on it!

I tried learning Russian awhile back. That is one hard language to learn.

I don't know about that. Besides my native Scandinavian languages, I speak English, German, French, Spanish and Italian but after that it gets really difficult when you change the alphabet. Eg. Russian and Japanese are pretty difficult to learn.

Russian is one that i use to speak very well and now i forgotten most of it!

I'm Canadian and I dont' speak French, but I would love to learn Spanish. It is such a sexy sounding language!

Go to internext Cancun with a little Spanish phrase book and you'll learn a lot!

I can also barely understand some czech, german, spanish in written form

I learned to speak english in about 5-6 months after i came here

Studied French from 5th grade until 10th grade. Our Vietnamese Janitor was apparently fluent in French. She came to America in a boat as a stowaway. It wasn't until much later that I actually realized how cliched that became.
