You can survive a long time off of a 60 pound dog. The problem is preserving the rest after your first meal. Most would think of using regular ziplockc freezer bags but this is a mistake. What you really need is one of those vacuum packers so the rest of the meat stays fresh and juicy.Comment

Heh... sorry, I thought this was pretty funny... We have 2 labs, and one of them just loves food so much... it's a true love, a pure love... and she is prone to weight problems. One night I looked down at her and said "Well, at least we'll never starve, we can always eat you." She knows the word 'eat' and started to jump straight up into the air, all 85 pounds of her, all 4 legs off the floor.
