Absence Of Tootie: Our Child In The Hospital
Just wanted to let you people know that my wife, tootie, is in the hospital at the moment, staying with our 5 month old daughter.
Our daughter had some seizures and they wanted to monitor her. She was admitted yesterday, and they expect discharge today. But then again, you know hospitals. Any questions can be directed to [email protected] I am not loading up her ICQ or checking her mail. I know that some have contacted her for work and she regrets that there is this delay, but our family comes first. Things should be back to normal shortly. Thanks. |
That sucks, hope your daughter gets well soon. :(
|
Hope the baby is fine. Good luck!

Thanks for all your well wishing. We appreciate it.
It appears that Hailey isn't having any seizures while she's hooked up to a phenobarbital IV drip. That's good news, as phenobarbital was the drug I used when I was almost that young to control my seizures. Lucky for me, I grew out of them. I hope she does as well. |
Best wishes with your child! Hope all is well.

My dog use to have seizures, the vet gave him phenobarbital. He was on it for about 2 years , during those 2 years he never had a seizure. He's been off of it for about 5 yrs. now and he's doing great :) I don't know if phenobarbital works the same in humans as it does in animals though.... I hope everything goes well with your little one and good luck. |
I hope everything will be well...I am sure it will be - you guys deserve it ! Good luck:thumbsup

We brought her home today, SureFire. She's right here beside me and she just grinned at me. :)
They ran a bunch of tests like a CT scan, an EEG and an MRI but they didn't find anything wrong. They put her on Phenabarbitol and so far she hasn't had any more seizures since they started her on it. She is supposed to take it twice a day for 6 months to a year and then they are going to take her off of it to see if she's grown out of it yet. If not, they will put her back on it and try again in another 6-12 months. They said it was probably hereditary and that she would probably grow out of it just like her dad did. I sure hope so. :) Thanks so much for the well wishes, everyone. She's my little princess and this has been SO scary! |
