Have $10,000? Buy Beastie Boys record label

The Beastie Boys' label up for grabs online

The Beastie Boys' record label Grand Royal is being sold over the internet.

Grand Royal, which was founded in 1993, was viewed as one of the most influential labels of its time.

It released Beastie Boys' albums Check Your Head and Ill Communication and developing artists including Money Mark, At The Drive-In and Atari Teenage Riot.

But the label ran into financial difficulties and was declared bankrupt two years ago, reports NME.

Now, online auction house bid4assets.com is offering up the label for a minimum bid of $10,000.

that label has been out of buisness for so long it has no value in most peeps eyes. I would sooner start my own label and put myself out!:thumbsup

no..unless going to a ton of concerts a year counts. I wish I was but really I am just an obsessive listener :)

What is included with the sales is on the auction website.

and its basically fuck all, unless you like Lucious Jackson ;)

some masters of Atari Teenage Riots and all that would be cool. but there is very little that would actually bring in money.

and nothing at all from the Beastie Boys

I saw them in '95 at Madison Sq Garden when they opened for REM. As far as opening acts go they were one of the better I have heard but that isn't saying much.

One day I should start a thread about worst opening acts ever.

no idea yet but I really want to go...missed this year because I didn't have a ride and the trains weren't running into the station. All my friends are musical wimps.
