My first root canal (fuck that)
 

2 fucking hours in the chair, and I still need to go back and get it capped. Dam it SUCKED. Lucky that I have insurance, 'couse I would NEVER pay $600 for someone to do that to me!:(

How did you know you needed one? did your tooth slowly start hurting? Were there any warning signs or did it just suddenly hurt really bad out of nowhere?

Lord, I can't discribe two well, 'couse I had my eyes closed must of the time, but; there was first a lot of drilling and then some sort of needles and or bults screwed into the bone.
The tooth in question started out just hurting, and was only singled out when I went to a cleaning about a month ago.
This is a ood dentest too. I can't imagine what a butcher would do!

How much did it cost w/insurance and what kind of insurance do u have? I have BlueCross HMO and everything dental is BLOODY expensive, makes me think there is no point in having dental insurance, u have to pay for it all anyways!

dont blame dentists too much ! i ll be one in 3 years !

Its not all that bad they just hack off the top and drill down through the center of your tooth to remove the root ( that causes the pain )

Costs about 200-500$ per ( depending on how hard it is )

How anyone can choose the job of dentist where you spend all day cleaning out dirty slimey mouths is beyond me. What a gross profession.

My wife's dentist is a DUMB ASS. He did the first part of the canal, BUT he didn't schedule her to go back (Michigan dentist policy states that it can't all be done in one shot) and her tooth ended up breaking, so she went back and he did something to put it back together, then it broke again, so now he's gonna crown it.

I would never take on a profession where you have to see so much pain on a daily basis. I read some where that dentist have a high suicide rate.
