A question to some of you who attended Internext...
How in god's name do you manage to drink 24 fucking 7? I can't even imagine wanting to spend as much money as it costs to attend or even exibit at such events and then spend the entire time so wasted you can't possibly do any business.
I watched as one person introduced themselves to someone (Not naming names) three (Yes three) fucking times and the drunk swore up and down they'd never met before (This was all during a 4 hour period). I guess more importantly then how, is why the hell would you do this? Don't you even consider how unprofessional it comes off? How about when you make a complete ass in front of non-industry people? How's it look on the rest of us who are responsible? And to whomever that fuckwad snorting coke on the round bar on Sunday night was.. I hope someone hits you with a Mack fucking truck. Fucking idiot. Keep that shit in private. |
I dont drink , all i had were those red energy red bull thingies

Refer to Aaron's post.. Lol actually I remember one guy who was there at the round bar one of the times we were there for more than 30 minutes, he walked up to myself and someone else and attempted to introduce himself. He was SO hammered we couldn't make out more than a mumble, and I mean it wasn't because he was quiet.. he literally could not speak he was so hammered.. THAT I don't get, but then again I've never really been a drinker (even when I'm not pregnant).

so who snorted coke?
|

If you can't hang, don't drink
|
How about the ones throwing fruit at other people during breakfast, or throwing bread across the entire restaurant and pouring drinks all over the table and pouring drinks on people and so on...
why does a person let themself get to that point? Do you really feel you can hold your head up high the next day knowing you made such a great impression on those people? |
Was I that drunk....4 times...are you serious????

After every convention it's these same old threads. Drunk idiots are everywhere, not just in this industry. Get use to it.

Those are the newbies that get drunk. The veterans go stoned.

I was sober 100% of the time, this time around...hell last year all I got was a good buzz.
But you're right, I can't imagine spending that much money and energy if I were a big sponsor only to spend the time so wasted you don't recall people you met. |

Yeah public displays of stupidity at these shows is not cool and just hurt the rep of the person or sponsor who they work for. But like someone already said, this is nothing new, and it will keep happening show after show.
