What the hell is up w/ MPA lately???

I have like (3) different sponsors where the MPA stats are totally fucked up! 1 sponsor I've gotten 6 chargebacks just this month...more than the sales I've even had w/ that sponsor. Another I'm not gettin' credit for sales I've made, meaning it shows the sale but no payout. Another the click stats work only once in a while. Of course, the sponsors themselves have been absolutely no help. I guess they think MPA is ,magic & they don't have anything to worry about.

Anyone else experiencing diffioculties w/ sponsors using MPA?

Don't get me started on MPA2, what a buggy piece of shit.

JDog 01-12-2004 04:29 PM

What sponsers is this happening too? We haven't noticed any errors like this! That could be part of the MPA shaving feature, but I don't know & don't care to know how that works!

I agree 110%!

I'm even considering dropping all sponsors that use them! It's way more aggrivation than I need at this point. Especially when the sponsors act like MPA is the answer to all & that if MPA says it's right, then it must be right! :feels-hot

here we go again

Which sponsors are using mpa2 anyway?

I just had 2 chargebacks within a few days which looked very strange as i have little sales with that sponsor...i actually owe them money according to the stats.

Email your sponsor about this, they will take it up with us and we can check into it for them. Sounds strange too me.

MPA2 does nothing but make sponsors and affiliates money.

However, some program owners have had mySQL problems - this only happens if their server environment is incorrectly set. It is not a MPA2 problem, rather a hosting problem. We always go in and correct this for them when that is the case. (so again, not a MPA2 problem.)

Also, if you want to check into YOUR problem, be sure to contact your sponsor before bashing us on the boards. I dont mind answering these things, but it is getting tiresome having to answer to people I dont know who just "throw out accusations out of mid air...".

Oh well, this is GFY, so I guess I just have to live with it.

:2 cents:

We did have mySQL problems that we had to fix two times in the past week and it looks like we are not the only one experiencing this. Host double checked and everything is fine... I think it's one of the best host out there, so I doubt it's a problem on our side since we also use other scripts using mySQL.

Currently, everything works but I hope it will stay that way :)

Not to mention that the new V3 of MPA2 is database agnostic, so you can use ANY database you want to. Oracle, Sybase, SQL, you name it... We have known about mySQL limitations for quite some time now and have conformed to avoid this in the future. It does suck to have to rely on others to make something work perfect.

Well, I would'nt have said a word here, but my sponsors are telling me that YOU aren't getting back to them & that "MPA support is like pulling teeth to get an answer". That quote was directly from one of my sponsors. My payouts on sales aren't coming thru & I've been getting really excessive chargebacks, so I didn't have much choice cuz I'm gettin' tired of chasing down my loot cuz of buggy stats software & not getting any REAL answers to the probs.

I'm havin' the same prob w/ one of my sponsors. (6) chargebacks since jan. 1, 2004. It's a secondary sponsor, so I haven't even had that many sales in prob'ly the last 4 months...and now I have 6 chargebacks. Unfortunately, the sponsor said my acct. ois the only one w/ that prob, but agreed it was very strange. I also owe them $$$ now too.!

I don't think the MySql issue is totally the hosts.

I use xxxwebhosting.com and have since 1997, they
have some of the best techs around and they still
have a lot of issues with our SQL issues. We have
screaming ass machines and top notch equipment.

It's a chronic issue that needs to be resolved.

Simply stating facts, other then that, MPA 2 is ok by me!

Trax 01-12-2004 11:20 PM

interesting read here

Number1Thumb 01-12-2004 11:21 PM

i dont know mpa2 has helped my earnings more than hinder.

Sausage 01-12-2004 11:23 PM

The only sponsor I use that has MPA2 has been all over the place. no chargeback problems but ratios went from a steady 1:150 ... to over 1:3000 for 2 months, then back to normal. Also now signups are showing up on stats remote, but sometimes they show up on the stats ... sometimes they dont ... then they are back again the next day ... only to be gone again the day after.

Not sure if this is mpa2, but it only started happening once the mpa2 support guys started 'fixing' things several months back.

Dildozer 01-12-2004 11:26 PM

Other than ratios all over the place i don'T see anything, the past 2 days stats have sucked shitty ass for me

bhutocracy 01-13-2004 12:14 AM

hahah dildozer... re: sig.
