Evolution is the best Linux mail client I've used so far.

Problem with evo is it checks all accounts simultaneously. The best I've found if you have a shitload of email accounts is sylpheed.

I use thunderbird myself, or the mail client inside Opera.

Evolution is probably the best out there... I use it and think it's way better than Outlook.
One of the greatest things for the Linux desktop world in a while has come from Ximian in the form of "Bonobo." It's a not-too-amazing component technology that really enhances the developer's ability to write a rich user experience. Evo is all you need client-wise... if you do, like the poster suggested, have lots of accounts that you don't want to check simultaniously.. then check out fetchmail. Fetchmail is a simple little daemon that polls user defined mail servers at a specified interval, pulling them into your local MTA. Fetchmail + procmail + SpamAssassin will get rid of probbaly 99.5% of all the spam you're currently getting. -s |
