is this usage of flash acceptable?
i posted a thread earlier inquiring about whether or not i should use flash.. well i decided to go ahead n' see how it'd turn out... i think it came out pretty well, size is only 20 kb (which is basically what it'd be if it were straigh out html), and the animation isn't annoying or anything.
http://dreamache.com/bodygain/html/newhtml/ hover over the "CHART" icon, the rest might have that info displayed like that... opinions... oh.. also, in flash 7 theres an option to make it so that when you right click a button, it WILL popup the normal HTML link menu (Open in New Window, etc).. so it will basically function exactly like normal html would except better :) |

Looks good, you know your flash!
Anyone who doesn't agree, just check out the flash on the swiftco page, 100% galleryseek |
You could do this same thing appearance wise using HTML/CSS and gifs. Even having the info displayed below the buttons can be done with CSS.
There are very few legit needs for Flash, and this ain't one of them. This is important in your case since your target audiance for a site like this isn't going to have Flash installed 100% of the time. But it does look good so far.... |
