I am looking at putting some digital video onto the web. Can anyone tell me the best software to encode the video and the most compressed format. I was thinking of Adobe Premier Pro:helpme

Premiere's nice, also look at pinnacle

Just use the Microsoft Standard Tools and Encoders to create a WMV File and you will have one of the best results for 0$

FLV is great... 98% of internet users have flash downloded on there pc and it loads faster too...

what is FLV format and where do I see samples and more info?

I hear alot of editors use Vegas Video ? Video Vegas? Somethin like that

Adobe Premiere is great but if you're just going to snap videos together, you can use Microsoft's MovieMaker for free.
