Err umm that didn't work..this is the post..

While we were gone, not only did they barely eat, apparently they wouldn't even groom themselves.. They were all greasy and stuff too when we got back. They just curled up into little balls of depression, even when the kids were here with the in-laws to feed them :( WTF am I supposed to do with these big saps if I have to go away for long? Sheesh.

I know they have a cat hotel here..Neat concept. The cat has its own room with a bunch of toys and a bed.

Well you'd think that in their own home, with some of their own people visitng them (like our kids who they sleep with every night and the in laws who we lived with for a while and they know well) they'd be better off... But I dunno maybe a cat hotel or something would be a good option. Makes me worry though if we ever go away for long, we probably would just have to take them along.

kinda interesting, we noticed the first time we went away and placed them in a boarding hotel, when we got back I'd swear they were so pissed that they refused to talk to us for three days.

I think each subsequent trip they'll get better.

No mine seem to get worse as they get older. :( This time they didn't even get indignant and ignore me when I got home, they were full-out desperate for me to touch them.. .I have little clawmarks all over from them doing the milktreading thing. I'm thinking they need valium lol.

My mom's cat is getting old...got it when I was a sophomore in high school. When they go to Florida for a week every year, they have my aunt come and feed her and keep an eye on her.

One year, my aunt felt sorry for her and took her to her house so she could give her more attention. Big mistake. By the time my parents got home she was skin and bones. And she knows my aunt...she lives a couple miles from my parents and spends 5 days a week there yakking with my mom. Some animals are very sensitive and bonded to their humans and some couldn't give a damn.

Our 3 cats are more bonded to each other and Pookie than us, I think. They do fine when we go on vacation. I think they'd even do fine at a kitty hotel.

I've just never had MULTIPLE cats this attached to me. I had a few animals this close but not three at once. WTF did I do wrong? Or right? Or whatever? heh. It's a pain when we do have to go away though.
