'Suskind cited a Pentagon document titled "Foreign Suitors For Iraqi Oilfield Contracts," which, he said, outlines areas of oil exploration. "It talks about contractors around the world from ... 30, 40 countries and which ones have what intentions on oil in Iraq."
In the book, O'Neill is quoted as saying he was surprised that no one in a National Security Council meeting asked why Iraq should be invaded. "It was all about finding a way to do it. That was the tone of it. The president saying 'Go find me a way to do this,'" O'Neill said' ------------------------------- 'O'Neill also said in the book that President Bush "was like a blind man in a roomful of deaf people" during Cabinet meetings.' -------------------------------- |
Been in the news for three days already. "Axe to grind" disclosures are always dubious, especially when there's books to be sold.
|
Mexico produces more oil than Iraq.
Also, the US has plans written up to invade every country with the exception of Canada. |
Not saying I agree with everything Bush does but O'Neill is a stupid fuck canned for being incompetent, what do you expect.
Even people who don't defend Bush are saying there is no way a trasury guy would be privy to national security secrets like invasion plans, amazing people are duped by this shit and jump right on it. |

Kill a few of our own to justify a war and gain oil... collateral damage. No big deal, what is a few thousand lives when the greater good is at risk. Again, if 9/11 was so important... then why go after saddam and not bin ladden? Sorry, but i STILL think that saddam was secondary, bin ladden was the target that should have been delt with 1st then saddam. Saddam did not have anything to do with 9/11. :2 cents: |
