The word "lolita" NOT banned by Visa and MC?

There was a very interesting thread about this word few days ago:
http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...ghlight=lolita

Yet I thought is was officially banned by the credit card companies
but there's apparently a site called "Lolita Archives".
Anyone could enlighten me on this?

Polish, not sure whether there's really a word-ban or not, but even if there is, it's likely that Visa/MC don't know about the site, and depend on the processors to handle compliance issues, and the processors depend to some extent on consumers to inform them of compliance issues. Also, there are US Visa/MC and International Visa/MC organizations, which have different rules, though again I'm not sure of their respective policies on this issue.

Just want to add that Verotel clients can add a site to their config without requiring any action by Verotel - it's active immediately...

It's possible that it's a new site that hasn't been properly reviewed by Verotel, that's if they even do review their clients sites. :(

I've also seen tours that for the signup page, redirect to another site, so the processor wouldn't know it existed unless a consumer told them.

If you are going with a european processor it's not banned at all. The meaning of Lolita in Europe is a little bit different then to the states average minds. Ask some french guys about it

the word lolita means young girl, I worked for First Data for a long time and the FBI actually wanted to get all information on websites that had the word Lolita in it. Alot of companies were shutdown that were based in the U.S or at least the sites did or they had to reword everything. Some of the other companies that weren't based in the US the government couldn't go after, and thats why theres still websites with that word in it.

You mean you could start a new teen paysite, f.e with Verotel and call it "Fresh Lolitas", "European Lolitas" or "Lolita Teenies" and that would be OK for Visa International ?

edited: I know that the word "lolita" souds better for Europeans, that was the thread I referred to in my 1st post
