What would you do to a webmaster who works for you and changes the links on 5 galleries from your code to their code with out you knowing about it, and when you ask them about it they tell you they were testing something.

How long were these changes up for or do you know? What was his excuse on the reason he had to change the link code to do the test? What was he testing?
When I make a new program, I'll use some of my own stuff to test the program. But if the program is already up and running with your links, I don't see the reason to change the links. Just make sure you write down what happened and the reason for the firing so you have something in case he tries to cause trouble with you through a government agency. If he works in your office, just tell him why your firing him and show him the door. If he works at home, just don't give him anymore work. Don't let him touch any of the programs once he is fired no matter what excuse he gives you. Change any passwords that need to be changed before he comes in. If he's going to scam you once, he will do it again. Don't be nice or feel sorry for letting him go. He'll just learn how he got caught and find a better way to scam you the next chance he gets. |

I he wanted to tested something he would have put out only one or two links, but 5 is more suspicious!!! You should consider fire him, if he is not at his job for a long time. If he is a long time employee (I mean at least a year) i would maybe make an exception, once, and talk to him about what he should do to make a test and provide him with an alternative account to do so. Underlying it all however, you should check his work from time to time. If you don't see any remors or apology coming from him during your talking, i would fired him... |
fire him, he's probably doing it all the time, and don't give him a good reference. 'testing' is a lame excuse.
