as in:
models, actors
photographers
content providers
paysite owners

or even affilate, advertising, promo people?

if i had to guess, id say content guys that have nice contracts

this is an interesting question. I think you have to look at it in terms of other factors such as capital requirements and time freedom. I can say that being an affiliate probably has just one highly leveraged and profitable expense: online marketing. It has low capital requirements, virtually no headaches, high leverage, and reeps the benefits of the whole industry all the way from pornstars to content producers, paysite operators, down to the whole technology infrastructure. You get all of this benefit and you own virtually none of it and have to deal with none of it!

In other words, every segement is profitable but which one requires the least amount of your time, is the most efficient, and requires the least amount of capital for every dollar of profit. My answer: affiliation. In porn, it seems distribution is very profitable, it is unlike mainstream, where distribution is a hard thing to do well, less effective and has lower margins.

My vote would be affiliates. Their overhead is very low, the only negative is the compeition.

Content providers and program owners both have a lot of costs and a lot of competition.

Talent sucks because there's no residuals, unless they have their own site.

Good paysite that can convert isn't a bad thing to have.

traffic guys, and any programs that have nice reltionships with those traffic guys lol...

so basically the people who everyone relies on and cant do without, ie the models!! (unless you're in anime:winkwink: ) are probably making nowhere near as much as everyone else?:1orglaugh

So i think the best thing would be if i was a hot chick and i posed and photographed myself and set up a pay-site then i should have a good ratio, all i would need to spend on is getting some good traffic i guess:glugglug and then id still be relying on all the affilate peeps to get my clicks!

The controllers of the eyeballs (i.e. traffic) are the ones who have the most power and money.

you have as much traffic as you want , when your programs are converting !

Whatever you are doing you have to provide the best quality and then all aspects are integrated.

Belive it or not, also traffic providors has their costs, and their only way to earn is by maximize these costs to the best converting programs. Since you will not have a good converting site without buy the best content , there is a lot of room for good contect providors as well as performers.

So the golden rule is do whatever you are good at , and try to make it the best you can.
