We kept our tree up until March once. Talk about fire hazard! We ended up breaking the branches off and throwing them in the fireplace. Then the bare pole stood there for a couple weeks longer.

taking it down right now. I hate taking it down. :(

Everything feels so cozy and warm when it's up.

Ahead now is just a loooooooooong horrible winter.

I always heard it was bad luck to keep your tree up beyond 12 days after christmas.

Maybe the better question would be "Who keeps their Christmas lights installed year round"? I've been to some parts of Hawaii where the Christmas lights are never taken off. Sometimes, if a family member touches the wrong switch, you'd swear its Christmas :):1orglaugh :thumbsup

I no longer refer to it as my Christmas tree. I prefer to call it my oversized fake ornamental Easter tree. Never heard of an Easter tree? Neither have I but I believe that everyone should make a fashion statement at least once in their lives.

Just took mine down this morning. What a fucking mess those things make when you drag them across the living room and out the house. Pine needles EVERYWHERE.

Vacuuming it up is gonna be a pain.

It's a bitch taking it down and putting everything away :(
