Its just a virus mail like the zillion other viruses. Different trick this time. Seen it before tho.

Get zonealarm, not only does it protect your puter it also renames attachments like that so you cannot accidentally open it.

avg has a resident email scanner
it rocks

A scanner is not enough for some people, it doesnt mean you cannot get infected when opening an attachment.

example:
i knew itd catch it and it did. i ran the attachment and immediately avg popped up and killed it.

who would be stupid enough to open a file named.txt.exe??

i guess it's the same people that open bigtits.jpg.vbs

Where do you think all these viruses are coming from in the first place. The reason that 1/10 files is a virus lately is because of people opening this shit.

2 weeks ago i was reading a Dutch computer magazine and saw someone posting.

Hi, ive been getting mails from microsoft.com with an update attached. I always open them but nothing happens, why do they keep sending me these mails.

The magazine replied: Maybe its not really sent them, check the real "from" info.

1: That person is stupid
2: Those people working for that magazine should know about this virus and they dont. So they are stupid as well.

Spam maybe, viruses is unrelated. Usually it depends on if you have your email listed on your sites and how much traffic those sites get.
People with low traffic usually get lower amounts of virus mails.
