T-Mobile Good Or bad.

Just like the topic says is T-mobile a good or bad cellphone company thinking of switching to them but not if they suck ass. Ive had it with sprint.

chuk 01-07-2004 04:26 PM

They have naked people in their commercials, so they must be good.

Take their wireless data/phone package. I used to use their WiFi hotspots at Starbucks back when I lived in the States. T1 speed up and down. Can't beat that.

arial 01-07-2004 04:27 PM

I've been using them for a few months, I've had no problems with them.

powerbubba 01-07-2004 04:48 PM

Verizon has the best overall coverage around with fewest dropped calls, but they are also the most expensive.

You will also experience different coverage quality depending on where you live.

hibbidiji 01-07-2004 04:52 PM

I love tmobile. I use a nokia 3650 (free from amazon) but there is a new one out thats better... just get a series 60 nokia phone with bluetooth and you're stylin.

I get very good coverage and the data access is cheap

MetaformX 01-07-2004 10:13 PM

T-mobile rocks. Best phone company I have been with.

Babaganoosh 01-07-2004 10:19 PM

I use both t-mobile and sprint and honestly t-mobile kicks sprints ass. :thumbsup

pradaboy 01-07-2004 10:31 PM

T-Mobile is a good company for sure

bdld 01-07-2004 10:37 PM

sandman! 01-07-2004 10:37 PM

Use it in the NL ,perfect:D

Sharky 01-08-2004 09:34 AM

My service and phone number was ported over to T-mobile from AT&T yesterday.

I can tell you that while sitting at my desk with my AT&T phone, I had 0 reception!

with T-mobile I have 3 bars (out of 4) connection. i am able to make and receive calls from my cell here in the office which is GREAT!

chemicaleyes 01-08-2004 09:36 AM

T-Mobile = Quality company, used them for years.

KobyBoy 01-08-2004 09:36 AM

Starting my third year with them. No complaints whatsoever. This is the best phone company I've been with. I live in New York CIty and in my apartment I don't have a land line only my cell phone. I'm reachable 24/7 with no service interruptions. I would say go for it ! :thumbsup

feN 01-08-2004 09:46 AM

Quality from Germany :thumbsup

Herb Kornfield 01-08-2004 09:58 AM

T-mobile rocks the house, I got the baddest plan they had on a promo a year ago.

$100.00 a month for 10,000 minutes / Free weekends / Free nights. Totally kicks ass.

Their service just rocks out totally and I have had most carriers for voice services.

hyper 01-08-2004 10:24 AM

you need to ask people in your area

a company is only as good as where their cell tower is

i use t-mobile, they are great because they have the towers in just the right places here.
i cancelled sprint coz i couldn get a signal half the time

axelcat 01-08-2004 10:25 AM

Its ok

JUSTB 01-08-2004 10:26 AM

I just cancelled AT & T 3 months ago and got T-Mobile. T-Mobile is so good that our family out of town signed up and now we all talk to eachother for free!!!!

Sharky 01-08-2004 10:40 AM

It's amazing how many phone calls I missed during the day due to shitty AT&T cell reception at my office.

Today I have taken 5 calls, 4 of them from clients who prefer to call my cell.

superweb 01-08-2004 10:49 AM

Used them in Germany & using them in Czech Republic. Really the best cell operator on the market here.

GonePhishing 01-08-2004 12:00 PM

I did not have a problem with my service from them. I think that sprint and at&t have a lot more towers, but it didn't really seem to make much of a difference.

xxxoutsourcing 01-08-2004 12:06 PM

T-MOBILE, never heard of em, where they from again?

brothenberg 01-08-2004 12:13 PM

Who the heck said they have naked people... thats Virgin Wireless, not T-mobile....

If T-Mobile had naked people in their commercials there wouldnt be any other services..

They are all trying to merge soon anyways...

In Los Angeles, they all share cell sites anyways..

IF you have an unlocked phone that isnt from the vendor, you'll see the ACTUAL cell site your connecting to.. T-mobile shares with cingular, and At&t was stingy but they opened up, so now they pretty much all bounce off each others networks.

They all have the same phones, most of which are crap for people who want the 'free' phone, but there are some good models..

If you want better service, cough up some doh and get an unlocked phone with better firmware/software on it, and you'll have better reception, when I bought my Nokia 6600 it was on version 2.2, when Nokia was on version 6.

Do all the internet access services work the same with the "unlocked" phones?

for instance -- the mpX200 phone. It's a nice looking smartPhone, however my fear in getting an unlocked one and using it on T-mobile is that some of the services wont' work.

cosis 01-08-2004 01:04 PM

they are awful, sent me two phones that didnt work, then they wouldnt let me cancel my contract when the coverage area they promised my cellphone would work in didn't

Yeah I just read the rules, I'll find something else..

liquidmoe 01-08-2004 01:17 PM

I use them primarily for data on my sidekick and have a separate phone with nextel, and use the sidekick purely as a backup. Their data plan is very good, has great coverage, and has the best connectivity of just about everyone, and I've tried Verizon, Sprint, etc.

As for a cell phone, I can't really say, I guess I would call it ok, no real complaints, but no real glowing praise either, just dont use it that often as a phone.

Yes they do, why wouldnt they, if you call T-mobile Data Networking Services, they can send you the settings, or they can walk you through them over the phone, there are some simple settings you need to change.

AT&T uses Nokia's EDGE technology and is offered MUCH higher bandwidth transfers via EDGE on their networking service..

While it's not as nice as T-mobile Hotspot access, the At&t service is pretty fast..

130k down or so...

Trax 01-08-2004 01:32 PM

cannot go wrong with them
they are THE german phone company filling markets nearly every possible in europe
i dont remember how many 100 million customers they have

DVTimes 01-08-2004 01:34 PM

I use t-mobile in the UK. They are to me the best of the 4 mobile phone firms in the UK (orange, t-mobile, Vodaphone and 02). I find they are let down when you need to call customer service.

Cirrus 01-08-2004 01:41 PM

I recommend them

Sid70 01-08-2004 01:55 PM

T-Mobile is GSM as you get it. It means you can easily replace the phone and put the chip into another one. They do provide great services and I used T-Mobile while roaming in New York from Europe.
