CCBill - It wasn't a glitch

It wasn't a glitch.

You are covering up for Jeff from Perfection Cash.

I have already removed CCBill from 7 of my sites, and will no longer process my 60+ signups a day with you. I will be e-mailing my recurring customers, who are very loyal to my sites, and will be asking them to cancel and signup with my new biller.

IBill was my secondary processor, they are now 1st again.

Shame on you for covering up for Jeff. In other words, a big FUCK YOU to all the affiliates he scammed.

There was no glitch. I know the CCBill admin top to bottom.

I've always admired CCBill as a company, but after the lies you have told people about a 'glitch' (go figure it happens to a scammer) I would not miss you if you went tits up tomorrow.

It isn't the fact you had a shave function built it. It is the fact you are sticking up for a crooked program operator, and lying about a non-existent 'glitch' to the affiliates.

Bottom line. Jeff got caught cheating (again). You are covering for him. Apparently he is worth more to your company than the 1200+ affiliates he claims to have.

Ciao, fuckers. :321GFY

I'm glad there's a site operator who was using CCbill posted. Anyone else want to comment? Sort of helps makes things more solid.

Cheers,
Matt

Covering up for the sponsors who got caught shaving is a really dumb move by CCBill.

When these sponsors get sued for rebills, CCBill's cover up makes them complicit in any "attempt to defraud".

EscortBiz 01-07-2004 01:23 PM

Here is a fact, it does not matter what processor someone uses if they are a scammer they will figure out how to scam.

Scammer scam everyone and everywhere.

CCBill did a great thing by allowing affiliates to see whats going on, the fact is in the past 24 hours I got tons of new affiliates across all my sites.

Did Jeff cheat, did CCBill cover well I think we need a bit more time to see if jeffs affiliates can confirm they got rebills for more then a month or so.

There is one fact that noone can argue with, CCBill never cheated anyone out of a penny, the feature was there as a payout feature.

Use your brain before promoting a program and you will save all the headaches, people who cheat people out of even 1 dollar will cheat everywhere end of story.

Master_Yoba 01-07-2004 01:46 PM

unfortunately there is no other processor these days than ccbill.
ibill you mentioned is a shit likes other ones :2 cents:

bopha 01-07-2004 01:46 PM

I don't believe that post for a second.

Webmasters who run ccbill programs will know it's bullshit if you know the admin.

I'm personally shocked they didn't take the 'grouping' defense. You can't see the various payouts for the groups you can create in that webmaster view program interface.

You can have your program set at 50 percent payouts and give raises to certain affiliates if you like. You just group them, set the payouts and they get paid on that scale.

I don't see that Jeff has his bonuses enabled. Was that also part of the glitch? On his site, he lists the tier bonuses and I've yet to see that in the new settings.

Plus, he flat out said in the first post that you can't just change things, you have to send out a 'change' form. No.. you do not.
You simply change the payout. That allows you to have 'bonus' days and give a higher payout if you like.

I'm shocked that more webmasters who run ccbill affiliate programs aren't jumping in on this.

I spoke with a tech this morning at CCbill who told me that the glitch would have been that he changed his program and forgot to change it back.

Sorry CCbill, I usually support you 100 percent. I would have expected you to take the high road.

.

If visa offered a payout feature that alllowed stores to steal money from my account if they felt like it, i would be blaming visa too, not just the store owner.

Wow I always personally thought CC Bill sucked but god damn IBill is as fucking shitty as they get too.

crockett 01-07-2004 02:04 PM

I agree with the above.. I thought it was a great move on CCBILL's part to let the affiliates see if the programs we are pushing are stealing from us.

But this trying to cover up a scammer by taking the blame as it being a glitch is a bunch of BS.. He might process a lot of sign ups under his programs but over all the affiliates are the ones that make the sign ups... I would think the affiliates would hold more weight than one or two program owners.

Ahhh but that's not the way it works in the inner circle. The don't give a fuck about you as an affiliate because it's not you they hang out with and party and talk to all the time, you're not one of their friends.

That is kind of lame though a 10 line sig , when the gfy rules clearly states 3 lines.

Well i dont know about your 6k , but duocash offers a way bigger target audience. And i think will also be the future of internet purchasing.

Mister X 01-07-2004 02:18 PM

Speaking as someone that uses CCBill's affiliate program for their sites I have to say that I don't know why anybody would want to sign up with anyone that uses anything else now that they have this feature in place.

I can see the point of some of the posts that say that webmasters can easily change the settings and then change them back. But so what? Any affiliate program out there that doesn't use a third party can do exactly the same damn thing. But you will NEVER get the oportunity to check that in their stats. And even if you did have the option to view that sort of stuff you would STILL just be taking their word for it.

I really don't think that CCBill should give us the option to make an account inactive without a warning being sent to the affiliate, cuz that is REALLY a dishonest thing to do and it does invite dishonest webmasters to shave. That option should DEFINITELY be removed. BUT at least now the affiliates can check what percentage they are getting and find out about shit like that.

I can't honestly say whether it was a glitch in the software or not but 6 or 7 of our affiliates had incorrect payout settings and 3 of them didn't get paid what they should have. This new feature of CCBill's made it possible for us to be notified of this by an affiliate. We fixed the errors and have already paid the guys that lost money. And none of the 3 that lost money had even noticed that they were missing money yet, although the errors went back a couple of months at least. So I'm GLAD that we use CCBill because we got to fix it quick. If we were still using iBill the first we would have heard about it would probably have been on GFY when some guy started flaming us for only paying him 1% instead of 50%.

SomeCreep 01-07-2004 02:25 PM

Its sad that so many sponsors are shaving these days. Or maybe it has always been this way. Sponsors all look the same on the front end, but nowadays, you have to have experience to know which sponsors are good and which have bad reps and are not worth your time.

Yes. Exactly.

An email should go out to the affiliate whenever a suspension or inactivation occurs.

This should be an extremely easy change to make. And if it is not intended as a shaving tool, neither CCBill or sponsors should have a problem with it.

This is the part I can't understand. If this was just a temporary 'glitch' why haven't some of pg's affiliates who are making money stepping forward; You would think there would be atleast a few people on here who are making money with the program.

exactly. only thing i've seen is the opposite.

mardigras 01-07-2004 03:55 PM

I'd sure appreciate an automatic e-mail when an account is deactivated. I've found several accounts inactive when checking old links and the sites would still be operational.

My biggest complaint about CCBill is still that they need to have a way to merge and delete accounts through the online interface.

TheJimmy 01-07-2004 03:58 PM

the bottom line, is the only sponsor you can or should trust is the one you OWN...

If you've been with them for 3 years and never had a problem you are one of the very few. We were originally with CCBill and we only went with iBill when they came out with the 750 buck Visa fees and iBill was offering service to Canadian companies through iBill Europe with no 750 to pay. Of course that whole thing went down the shitter and we ended up paying the 750 to iBill when iBill Europe first dumped all Canadians and then more or less disappeared from the face of the earth. So that was okay... we were without visa on our sites for almost a month while we got our US incorporation and shit and paid the fee. Then 2 months after getting Visa turned on it was pulled again because the stupid hahahahas at iBill "forgot" to submit the sites to Visa for approval. And the same damn thing happened to a shitload of other people I know. And we never got paid for the majority of our sales during that period. And the whole time we were with iBill it always took 3 or 4 days to hear from our account rep who would only get back to us after 10 emails and 6 phone messages. And we never got the same answer to a question from any 2 people in tech support or anywhere else for the entire time we were with them.

Also it is worth pointing out that the supposedly "safer" iBill was not immune to getting fucked by the banks the same as several of the billing companies that have gone under. Publicly traded doesn't mean shit if the company is run by a bunch of incompetents who don't even tell each other what is going on!
