I just got an EMAIL from ACACIA with a new "notice"...

I took out the email address and URLs... what the fuck am I supposed to think of this? ....and as an EMAIL?? :helpme :helpme

Does that really say Promote Acacia licensed sponsors only ?

they just sent me ANOTHER letter today. apperently it is a certifacation of non use. because when they served me my letter i called up and yelled at them. i'm not signing this shit. they can lick my sweaty choade.

This email does not contain my name, company name, address, NOTHING. It contained my EMAIL address and a URL (with an affiliate ID attached to it) only. I can guarentee most people here will be getting this letter in their email.

I am an employee, I do not personally own anything. The sites I do own, they have no idea about...

I had the same letter sent to me a few months back. When I called, they put me on the phone with one of their "support staff". He told me that I was illegally transfering video files on my site. He told me that ACACIA had the patent to ALL audio and video transfering on the entire internet, minus Real Streams. I told him that he was full of shit and that all my feeds were with CandidCams and to talk to them instead of wasting my time. He started to stumble over his words and it became obvious that he was simply reading a script. He then told me that I would have to talk to someone with a greater knowledge of this matter and that I would recieve a call from the vice-president of the company by the end of the next business day. That was about 2 months ago and I havent heard a thing. This company is obviously full of shit and in the same class as tobbacco company-suing smokers, and fat girls that try and sue McDonalds. And I think they should Go Fuck Themselves. :feels-hot

The list of licensees is somewhat disturbing. There are some sponsors in the list that I like working with. It doesn't seem to leave all that many left to help fight against Acacia.

This recent move also seems to strike at gaining webmaster support. You seem to be able to relieve your own presumed liability with Acacia simply by promoting sponsors in this list.

5 threads on the main page about the farting banner and this sits on page 2.. you people never cease to amaze me. :glugglug

why isn't anyone going head on with them, I mean, nothing they claim would stand up in cord I would think, but hey I don't know that much about American law, but seems to me you can fight them with.
