Offshore internet account

Hello

Due to the recent outvalue of the EURO currency (which wont last forever for sure) I was thinking about opening an offshore internet account to keep my value in USD until the EURO decreases it's value.

I found out HSBC offshore account as a good option for what I read and for what I know about them (big bank around the world).

My questions..
Is it wise to open an offshore account for my prupose? If not, what other options?
Is HSBC a good choise? If not what other banks do you suggest?
Is it safe? Do I have the risk of loosing all the money deposited there like what happen to John Jung? ;)

Thank you very much.

So basically you sell crack and you want to hide the money you make?

Chosing the right bank would depend if you want to "hide" there $20k or $2.000.000.
The more money you want to deposit, the bigger and more reputable tha bank should be. :2 cents:

For smaller deposits, you could consider f.e Bank Crozier, Loyal Bank, Bermuda Commercial Bank.
I've read something about that issues few months ago :Graucho

whatever you do, you should talk to a competent tax attorney or accountant in your country of citezenship, who can give you solid legal advice and keep you out of jail FIRST which should be the primary issue with exchange risk being the second.
