Quick Question re www.serverbeach.com

Quick question about Serverbeach.com

Their FAQ states...

Q. Does ServerBeach allow adult based content?
A. ServerBeach does not allow any adult related sites on our network.

OK, but it then goes on to say...

Q.What security measures are taken at ServerBeach?
A. ServerBeach takes security very seriously. Every precaution is taken to ensure that absolutely no one has access to your server other than our technical staff. We do not monitor content and do not release customer profiles or disseminate customer information.

OK, well that sounds very much like a contradicton to me

So... What in your opinion are they trying to say ?
Is it 'No adult content' Period,
Or 'Officially no adult content"...
But if you were to go ahead and put some up, that as long as you didnt wave it in our faces...
That we would never even know about it, as we 'Do not monitor content' ???

Basically which do you think it is ? 'No You Cant' or 'We turn a blind eye anyway" ???
Opinoins please :)

uh, if they explicitly say 'no adult content' you can be pretty sure they will shut you down for hosting it. jesus how stupid can you be?

Well ok then Einstein...
If as they say that they don't monitor the content on the server,
then how can they know its there, in order to shut you down ?

Do they perhaps rely on random guesswork ???

And you call me stupid...

There is only 1,239,347,491 other web hosts out there, if they have contradicting terms why bother with them? Some great deal?

http://www.managed.com has cheapass servers if you want to go that route and they aren't bad actually. I have one that I use for MGP work, although I do believe in getting what you pay for... so if potential downtime isnt an option, find a higher quality host.

ServerBeach may not monitor your content, but will terminate if there's a complaint I'd assume. Or perhaps they run random spot checks. As BrianKerr said - there's a ton of hosts out there, why limit yourself to someone that can't write an AUP?

Managed.com is new on the market - they've made the mistake of "hiring" the former owner of UCG as a "consultant". They also rely 100% on AboveNet bandwidth, so no BGP action. They had a 30 minute outage just last night actually which BGP would have fixed within the ~2 minute flap window.
