Anyone has a good way to get rid of ads like this except than disabling scripting in IE?

If you arent tied to using IE, you could use Mozilla Firebird like I do.. there is a very sweet adblock extension for it.. can basically block any advertisement you like permanently..

Actually i could use the link though i'm pretty much used to IE and don't really feel like changing. This banner is REALLY pissing me off though so i just might.

All publicity is not good publicity, at least as far as getting new webmaster sign ups goes.

Yes it is very annoying. I reload the page as soon as I hear the banner. If this annoying banner trend continues I am simply going to disable activeX.

Sure man, you can use proxomitron, it's free. You can enable it and disable it as you want. It's a proxy filter (local, don't worry). You can disable popups, hahahahahahahahahaha etc etc.. and flash animations..

I surf GFY using proxomitron, that farting banner is too fucking stupid..
