Its on ! :) Keep your fingers crossed for those G5 laptops...
|
Quicktime Mpeg4 streams are the shit, too bad the dumbasses in our industry are too fucking retarded to put them to good use.
:thumbsup |
I have an IBM. GF has a Mac. I'm thinking Mac r better! And i may get a mac next!
|
It just started. Steve in his trademark black turtleneck and jeans. 60,000+ webcast viewers out there (I guess we're all part of that stat). Funny thing I can only view this using my Mac. With Windoze and Linux the stream keeps on timing out. Anyone watching this on a non-Mac platform ?
|
I'm hoping for low-priced iPods and G5 powerbooks!

the garageband software looks nice

:1orglaugh Apple Fans :1orglaugh ..why isn't there many replies in this thread?
|
I tried to watch it...
Didnt have QuickTime. Installed Quick Time. Came Back. First thing it says is Something to the effect that the codec does not exhist on the server. it drops the video signal and goes to audio. Audio signal says not enough bandwidth... I used to be an APPLE fan things like this make me proud of my decision to abandon there "Out of box" thinking... |
OOoooohhhh let me guess what he announces:
"In 2004, we will be introducing THIS FANCY NEW PLASTIC CASING, for only a 50% increase in price and a 20% drop in market share!!!! WOOO HOOO. Think Different. Switch." |

The reason why Apple fans have not beern replying because they were busy drooling over the new stuff (at least I was). That new iLife app looks awesome especially with GarageBand. Now instead of lugging an amp around I can just plug my guitar into my PowerBook and start plucking away with any arrangements that I make. Plus I really dig that you can save your jam sessions as an MP3. I've especially liked it when Steve did a comparison of prices. For what is over $300 in the Windoze world you can get for $49 and all the programs interoperate with each other seamlessly. Now why can't Linux and Windoze do that ? What would be really cool is an iTunes port to Linux. But I am kinda bummed that there were no G5 laptops announced. Can't wait for the new line of PowerBooks !
