Yah, it was fun. Would have been more fun if I had come in 1st instead of 10th...but I didn't do too bad for some one that learned to play on Yahoo games a week ago.

I took off before it was over. It was a great time and there's nothing like flowing alcohol to make you bet it all on a bullshit hand! :1orglaugh

"When the sixth-place finisher had busted out, the remaining five split the rest of the prizes equally (and tipped the dealers very generously too - good on you guys). The final five were; Sarah (Netbilling), Steve (Excel Comms), Brett J. (Dorm Angles), Unamed Player (didn?t want to give me his name?) and Gary from Cyberage."

lol, that's gay. One guy who doesn't know how to play comes in 10th, and the top 5 give up and split the pot? I figured there'd be some real poker players in this game, at least one or two anyway. It was no limit hold'em right? Fuck I would've mopped the floor with these pansies.

NETbilling 01-06-2004 12:58 PM

It was a great time and there were some good players. Sarah and the others did exceptional and deserved to win.

BTW - it was for fun and hanging with Industry friends, not "mopping the floor".

I'm not saying it wasn't fun, I'm sure it was a blast. But fuck, it's a card game, it's about winning right? It's no less fun if someone does a little mopping of the floor, is it? :)

I was too fucking tired to stay and watch. I don't even remember the last couple hours anymore except that people probably thought I had a good poker face but it was really me sleeping with my eyes open.

That's me in the IU jacket:

=)

Thanks guys. I had a Blast!!! There were some great players (including Rich, Quentin, Toolz, and Doug), I was almost out a couple times at some of the earlier tables.

It's my understanding that there were at least 2 professionals that squeezed into the tournament..... neither Sarah or I had played much poker before.... so winning was especially gratifying.

We each took home 1430 (before tipping out). it was good playing with you guys.... thanks again to the sponsors... topbucks, adult dialer solution, adultplayersclub, and pussycash

MrIzzz 01-08-2004 09:14 PM

Sly_RJ 01-08-2004 09:17 PM

My best hand all night was a J 9 with a J 5 2 flop. Such crap. Was fun though.
